The Weekend Roundup - 'Z'
It's been a busy holiday week so it's time to slow down for Tom's always fun meme, The Weekend Roundup. The 26th letter seems like it offers a challenge - usually. However. I found a few examples...
My aunt captured the entrance to Zion National Park in Utah, 1978 with a couple on nieces hiding in the shadows. My brother lives near Salt Lake City so perhaps I can visit both someday.

Closer to home is Zion AME Church in Ansonia.
In this faded print scene from 1982, my sister was in the USAF and they had an air base outside the charming (then) West German town of Zweibrücken. Here is the Parkbrau brewery...
Here is a look at Zois Pizza in neighboring Seymour.
A favorite. All four of us were here together on Christmas. Our daughter captured the look of the simple tree with gifts unopened. The best kind of holiday! Happy New Year to all!

The Weekend Roundup - 'X'
Friday arrives at the perfect time since it’s time for a post in Tom’s fun meme, The Weekend Roundup. I am happy that the prompt lets us include the letter ‘X’ (as well as beginning with)…
Box has an ‘X’ within, and what correlates better than a cat in a Box. Linus McDonald relaxes in a shoebox - how do they even fit?
I believe there is an ‘X’ in Manhattan’s Times Square at the intersection of Broadway and 45th Street. So these photos include my dad in 1939 and 1946 at that famous 'X'

Excellent includes a recent dinner at our favorite Ansonia restaurant, Rosa Mina on East Main St. My Excellent entree was the Shrimp Fra Diavlo, spicy with lots of cherry peppers sitting on a bed of linguini. Desert was their homemade apple crumb cheesecake. We had to share this excellent after dinner treat!
A Favorite. The always lovely Patti captured the brilliant ruby cardinal on a snowy morning in our back yard. It adds a nice warmth to a cold day...Have a great week all!
