Begins with 'O' takes me back to Grandma Agnes and Ralph Villers, my grandparents. This fills the bill as they lived at 1645 Oregon Avenue in Steubenville, Ohio from 1926 until their passing in 1981. We visited on occasion and i went to college nearby. that front porch is such a reminder of years and decades past!

Orange begins with 'O'. This sunset has quite a bit of orange in it.
The wheels on this 1890's Boneshaker bicycle look like the letter 'O' I'd say they roll over continuously (as long as the rider pedals that is :). It's a cool design although I cannot imagine it rides smoothly on its iron wheels!
A Favorite. Nothing fancy, this photo from yesterday just showcases how slowly the foliage is changing color this year - very similar to 2011. But a pleasant view nonetheless. Have a great week all!
...Ralph, you must have an endless collection of family picture, if the were more families like the Villers, Kodak may still be in business! Sunsets must be one of nature's finest hours! I've never hear of Boneshaker, it's a very descriptive name. The colors in the Adirondacks are now past peak, but here n Rochester it's a hit and miss affair. Thanks Ralph for sharing this week, I hope to see you back again.
ReplyDeleteI love your old photos, they are a treasure :) Good set of Os!
ReplyDeleteRalph, you must be the family secretary, as you surely do have a nice stash of family great old photographs. These are no exceptions. I had never heard those highwheelers called "Boneshaker" bicycles. But the last is beautiful, you just can't beat New England autumn scenery.
